Scarpa Academic Center</p> <p>Department: College Bound/GEAR UP</p> <p>Salary Range: $31.00 per hour</p> <p>Salary Information: Hourly Rate</p> <p>Work Hours: 10 hours per week, days vary</p> <p>Brief Job Overview/Summary</p> <p>The GOALS/GEAR UP program at Stockton University is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual committed to providing students in Atlantic City and Pleasantville School Districts curriculum for post-secondary education. The Curriculum specialist will be responsible for creating academic year (October through May) and Summer (June through August) curriculum courses for Middle and High School students in grades 7-12.</p> <p>Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Read interpret and implement curriculum guidelines </li><li>Ensure that all Performance Standards are documented </li><li>Develop assessment and evaluation based on program objectives </li><li>Provide training for staff and team members related to pedagogy, literacy, and essential skills to achieve the most s desirable outcomes for students </li><li>Ensure curriculum is aligned with NJSLS and ASCAS, and compliments that of Pleasantville and Atlantic City Schools </li><li>Identify and utilize all resources within the community and maintain positive relationships with state and local policy makers </li><li>Oversee and implement curriculum and best practices to ensure quality teaching and learning </li><li>Develop and revise Instructional Plan to meet Performance Standards </li><li>Track student progress, course goals, objectives, and outcomes </li><li>Evaluate and measure program outcomes, analyze data, and prepare reports </li><li>Some weekend and summer duties as directed by the GOALS/GEAR UP Director </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards for K-12 and the American School Counselor Association Standards </li><li>Knowledgeable of subject differentiation </li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as activity plans and curriculum; ability to write reports, proposals, and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of teachers, students, parents and mentors </li><li>Ability to work with mathematical concept such as probability and statistical inference develop charts and graphs based on data tables; ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions </li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized solutions </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent organizational and very detail oriented.
