In order to be considered for this position, you must apply specifically for the Job ID listed for this position.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES :</p> <p>Please note that additional duties and responsibilities will be added as the position evolves.</p> <ul> <li>Provide support and personal assistance to the superintendent including but not limited to appointments and calendar, and preparing appropriate documents and letters. </li><li>Prepare all materials and follow up for the Board of Education ("Board") meetings, workshops, agenda preparation sessions, (Google Docs, Diligent Community) and all other official Board events </li><li>Handle all calls, emails and written correspondence addressed to the Superintendent's office. </li><li>Assist Superintendent by organizing and coordinating district/community/legislator relationships by organizing visits, events and ongoing collaboration </li><li>Prepare and manage Board meeting schedules. This includes all requisite location logistics, and all requisite posting notifications </li><li>Take and maintain minutes for all Board meeting, workshops and official events (Attendance at board meetings and workshops held in the evenings required) </li><li>Responsible for Paperless Governance System (currently Diligent Community), including agendas, meetings, minutes, postings, "Library", and "Library content" </li><li>Prepare annual Board meeting schedule for Board approval </li><li>Maintain Board Policy in format suitable for electronic publishing, and document management </li><li>Maintain all Superintendent Office and Board Budgets, correspondences, calendars and travel necessities </li><li>Collection of and fulfillment of Data Requests and District incidents to and from the Board </li><li>Assist staff with projects and duties pertaining to the superintendent and the Board. </li><li>Serve as point-of-contact for all requests for Board meeting minutes inquiries </li><li>Prepare district/state/federal reports in support of Legal Activities </li><li>Review and acquire approval for Legal invoices and submit to Business Office for payments </li><li>Attend Executive Staff and Leadership Team meetings as directed </li><li>Receive, process, and notarize Department of Justice Notices, Court Summons, and other documents as needed </li><li>Assist with referendums including creating a deadline calendar to ensure compliance with Delaware Code </li><li>Perform other tasks and duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee in this position.
