<p>Job Title: Interpreter / Translator (2-Year Assignment)</p> <p>Company: AISIN World Corp. of America</p> <p>Department: Administration, Human Resources - GA</p> <p>Location: Seymour, IN</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>This candidate will be a regular full-time employee and will receive the full suite of company benefits. This position is structured as a fixed-term role and will conclude upon completion of the two-year assignment.</p> <p>This role supports executive leadership at the headquarters of an automotive parts group company. Key responsibilities include executive-level interpretation/translation, internal communication support, coordination with U.S. subsidiaries, and communication with Japan headquarters. The role also includes accompanying executives to U.S. subsidiaries and supporting selected General Affairs (GA) tasks such as company vehicle management and invoice processing.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities</p> <p>The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Executive Interpretation & Translation</p> </li><li> <p>Provide simultaneous/consecutive interpretation for executive meetings and high-level discussions.</p> </li><li> <p>Translate executive documents, presentations, and confidential communications between Japanese and English.</p> </li><li> <p>Communication Support</p> </li><li> <p>Support communication with U.S. subsidiaries and Japan headquarters/group companies.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in preparing and delivering messaging for internal and external stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Document & Presentation Support</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and translate reports, briefing materials, and presentations using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and consistency with corporate standards.</p> </li><li> <p>General Affairs (GA) Support</p> </li><li> <p>Manage company vehicles (scheduling, maintenance coordination, tracking).</p> </li><li> <p>Support invoice handling and general administrative tasks for executive operations. Assist with meeting preparation, visitor support.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Abilities</p> <p>Essential Skills and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Fluency in Japanese and English (speaking, listening, reading, writing). </li><li>Ability to interpret technical, strategic, and executive-level discussions accurately. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel). </li><li>Willingness to learn automotive and manufacturing terminology. </li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work across cultures (U.S.-Japan). </li><li>Ability to adapt communication style for executive audiences (Translator). </li><li>High accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality awareness. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Beneficial Skills and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or multinational corporate environments. </li><li>Experience supporting senior executives or technical/engineering teams. </li><li>Prior involvement in translation/interpretation for high-level business settings. </li></ul> <p>Education/Training/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Travel Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Approximately 50 % </li><li>Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment Requirements</p> <p>With reasonable accommodation:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone, and other office equipment. </li><li>Must perform job duties onsite, when necessary, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits). </li><li>Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality. </li><li>Must be able to operate as an effective team member. </li><li>Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies. </li><li>Some standing/walking; occasional exposure to factory environments requiring PPE. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 15-20 lbs. occasionally. </li></ul> <p>Attendance/Work Hour Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Flexible hours to accommodate Japan-U.S. time differences and business travel. </li><li>Must maintain an acceptable attendance record. </li><li>Must be willing and available to work weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs. </li></ul>
