<p>Job Description:</p> <p>This position is eligible for up to one day remote work per week.</p> <p>BASIC FUNCTION:</p> <p>The Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership in developing and implementing a comprehensive alumni engagement and annual giving program strategy to enhance Salve Regina University's relationship with its 20,000+ alumni. Specifically responsible for building meaningful relationships with volunteers, donors, and key prospective donors, driving engagement and the acquisition of donors and dollars in support of annual participation goals, and engaging campus partners to inspire alumni philanthropic support of the university.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Foster a collaborative and empowering work environment rooted in Salve Regina University's mercy values: demonstrate empathic leadership in the management of direct reports and through the positive engagement of Advancement team members and the broader Salve community. </li><li>Support the creation of a comprehensive plan to increase engagement with the university, to increase the number of donors to the annual fund, and to increase revenue generated from the annual fund. </li><li>Oversee and execute annual fundraising strategies for key constituents, including alumni, affinity groups, leadership donors, reunion attendees, young alumni, faculty/staff, friends, and parents. </li><li>Develop innovative approaches to increase alumni giving participation, utilizing volunteers, communication platforms, and recognition programs. </li><li>Regularly analyze the impact of annual giving activities and engagement activities on the success of donor acquisition, revenue generation, donor retention, and volunteer service to adjust strategies as needed. Mentor direct reports to support analysis and adjustments to the plan. </li><li>Manage a personal portfolio of individual prospective leadership annual fund donors and be responsible for achieving revenue and engagement targets for the portfolio as agreed upon annually with the VP for University Advancement. </li><li>Develop opportunities in partnership with the VP for Advancement for alumni to engage with Governance members and President Armstrong to support and advance initiatives of strategic importance to Salve. </li><li>Work with campus partners - including faculty and staff- to meaningfully engage alumni and families in support of advancing the university's mission and strategic priorities. </li><li>Provide Advancement leadership team and senior leaders at the university with clear and consistent communication on alumni engagement and annual giving activities and metrics. </li><li>Collaborate with the Director of Advancement Communications and Stewardship to develop and implement a robust plan that thanks, cultivates, and stewards volunteers and donors for their time, talent, and financial contributions to Salve. </li><li>Build Salve's brand by promoting alumni nominations for external awards. Solicit nominee suggestions from campus partners, write and submit nomination applications, and coordinate promotion of award recipients via Salve's various marketing mediums. </li><li>Oversee and influence large signature events, including reunion weekend, Fall Festival Weekend and a summer event.
