The Behavior Support Specialist will assess an individual and develop a complete plan, which outlines support strategies to address specific target behaviors as identified in the assessment process. The Behavior Support Specialist will be responsible for training the Direct Support staff, and the identified Program Director (PD) on all aspects of the Behavioral Support Plan. The Behavior Support Specialist will also be responsible for providing on-going consultation and assistance to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) for the purpose of updating the plan in response to the changing behavioral needs of the person served.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>What Makes You A Great Fit:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in a related human services field </li><li>One (1) year of experience working with and for persons with developmental disabilities (DDD or I/DD) </li><li>One (1) year of experience in design, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral support plans. </li><li>A commitment to serving individuals with severely challenging behaviors in the community setting is essential. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>At Dungarvin, diversity and inclusion are a part of what makes our organization strong.
