<p>Annual Salary:</p> <p>$43,797.00 - $46,897.50</p> <p>Hourly:</p> <p>$22.46 - $24.05</p> <p>Department:</p> <p>Fire, Public Safety</p> <p>Division:</p> <p>Fire Marshal</p> <p>FLSA:</p> <p>Non-Exempt</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>In this role, you will perform complex administrative tasks to ensure efficient department operations.</p> <p>Examples of Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains billing information for accounts. </li><li>Assists customers with billing information. </li><li>Assists in administrative components of permitting. </li><li>Performs basic accounting task. </li><li>Manages databases in Excel and Access, performs analyses, and generates reports. </li><li>Maintains record keeping and filing systems. </li><li>Prepares meeting agendas and minutes, and provides general meeting support. </li><li>Updates and edits web information. </li><li>Provides general clerical assistance, including: answering telephones, responding to inquiries and composing correspondence. </li><li>Creates newsletters. </li><li>Performs related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree (AA) and 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Valid state issued driver's license. </li><li>Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with billing or accounting systems. </li></ul> <p>The City of Charleston is firmly committed to Equal Employment Opportunity ( EEOC) as a fundamental policy to be implemented and observed in our daily operation.
