<p>CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER</p> <p>ABOUT YOU:</p> <p>The primary responsibility of this role is the management and execution of a Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence program centered on, but not limited to key methodologies including LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Project Management, and Cost Improvement Projects (CIPs).</p> <p>The incumbent is responsible for directly leading projects and leading others in these efforts by applying their leadership and continuous improvement skills to optimize overall business performance.</p> <p>Incumbents of this role are required to be on call and/or available after hours, to provide their own mobile device, and to distribute their mobile phone number accordingly. Alternatively, individuals may distribute their office phone number if their office phone is set to forward calls to their personal device when they are not physically present.</p> <p>YOU WILL:</p> <ul> <li>Strategic Partnership and Transformation. Direct and engage strategic partners in transformation projects and serve as a key driving force to deliver on Jostens' strategies. Identify and deliver measurable results with Cost Improvement Projects and Capital projects. </li><li>Continuous Improvement and Operations Diagnostics. Conduct operations diagnostics to identify improvement opportunities, set priorities, launch, and deliver improvement projects, and measure results. Implement lean manufacturing concepts from experience, such as Kaizen events, workshops, 5S, Material replenishment Pull Systems, Systems and Administration improvements, etc. </li><li>Metrics and Reporting. Develop, track and report on all metrics associated with Continuous Improvement activities, including financial impact, to plant and Executive leadership. Lead selection, design, implementation of Lean Shop Floor dashboard (metrics) to measure back to goals. Allow visibility to work group and/or operator level. </li><li>Supervisory and Team Support. Occasionally work in a supervisory capacity in various areas of the Jostens enterprise. Work as part of an on-site or remote team as part of Jostens' overall objectives to deliver both short-term and long-term operating performance. </li><li>Safety Leadership. Provide leadership and implementation to site-specific Safety Culture and Results with site leadership and safety teams. </li></ul> <p>YOU HAVE:</p> <ul> <li>Experience. 5+ years of technical experience in manufacturing (leading manufacturing improvements). Demonstrated Project Management, organization, and implementation skills and with delivered results. Preferred experience with process automation using Robotics or similar technologies. </li><li>Education. Bachelors or Technical degree, or equivalent experience in Engineering with an emphasis in Process. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Red X Journeyman in Shainin. </li><li>Technical Skills. Ability to use tools such as VSM or Material and Information flows. Preferred technical experience in manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and/or warehousing and distribution. Preferred knowledge of Minitab, AutoCad and similar programs utilized in Lean CI projects. </li><li>Process Development. Strong background in process development such as sample frequency determination, identification and controlling key process characteristics and receiving inspection. A solid background and understanding in process flow, process design, ergonomics, and lean manufacturing principles. </li><li>Flexibility. Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules as needed. </li><li>Typical/Expected % of Overnight Travel. ~ 25% annually. </li></ul> <p>LOVE WHERE YOU WORK:</p> <ul> <li> <p>We care about your health.
