<p>JEVS Human Services has an exciting opportunity to join the team at our Orleans Technical College as a Refrigeration Instructor. The Instructor will be responsible for teaching students through hands-on projects and theory in safety, math, and other basics of air conditioning refrigeration and heating.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide instruction, as specified in the curriculum, in the basics of air conditioning refrigeration and heating</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise students in hands-on trades tasks</p> </li><li> <p>Provide testing of students' knowledge of theory</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare curricula materials</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize varying delivery methods and media to keep students engaged with the lesson for the full class day.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain student attendance and grade rosters</p> </li></ul> <p>This position is part-time, 2 evenings per week, 5:30pm-10:15pm.</p> <p>Part-time instructor pay rate is $32.50.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>3+ years experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial systems; experience working with heat pumps, gas and oil-fired furnaces, ductwork, radiant heat, etc. </li><li>Must have EPA certification </li><li>Knowledge of electrical theory and heating theory is a must </li><li>Must have experience soldering and brazing </li></ul> <p>The base pay for this position is $32.50 Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
