<p>Position Title: Buying Clerk</p> <p>Department: Buying</p> <p>Supervisor: Buyer</p> <p>FLSA: Non-exempt</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Provides support to Corporate Buyers by assisting them with the process of merchandising, selection and development, sales, analysis and vendor management.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Receives purchase orders from various buying departments. </li><li>Confirms pricing with supplier </li><li>Corrects pricing and/or weights on purchase orders </li><li>Changes delivery date as instructed </li><li>Releases purchase orders </li><li>Faxes purchase orders to suppliers </li><li>Assists with price out of different suppliers and delivery </li><li>Will assist with food safety recalls by completing paperwork such as checklist for recalled items and spreadsheets with required information for supplier and/or regulatory agencies. </li><li>Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education, Experience and Skills Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree, OR </li><li>High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years experience OR </li><li>Any appropriate combination of education and experience. </li><li>Effective oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation. </li><li>Computer Literacy </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Average office environment, air-conditioned in the summer. Accessibility to computers, phone, fax, copiers etc. on premises. </li></ul>
