<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Middle School Teaching/Mathematics</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/19/2024</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Summit Academy Community School - Cincinnati</p> <p>District:</p> <p>  Summit Academy School  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Math Teacher: 6th - 8th Grades</p> <p>REPORTS TO: SCHOOL DIRECTOR</p> <p>BASIC FUNCTION:</p> <p>To provide the students under his/her direct supervision a quality educational program, which is appropriate for the assigned students that meets their ability and appropriate for the subject and personal growth and characteristics.</p> <p>EMPLOYMENT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree </li><li>Valid Ohio Teaching Certificate or license </li><li>Shall demonstrate knowledge, skills and/or abilities in the following four broad areas: </li><li>Instruction </li><li>Classroom </li><li>Professional attitudes and growth </li><li>Personal characteristics </li><li>Appropriate criminal records check by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal </li></ul> <p>Identification and Investigation and/or Federal Bureau of Investigation</p> <ul> <li>Meets all health requirements as mandated by law </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all employees </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate evidence of effective planning </li><li>Demonstrate evidence of organization </li><li>Demonstrate skill in using a variety of methods and techniques to meet the needs of the students </li><li>Have a thorough knowledge of the subject matter being taught </li><li>Show an interest in his/her classroom environment </li><li>Encourage proper care and usage of equipment, furnishing, and materials </li><li>Be receptive to new ideas </li><li>Be enthusiastic </li><li>Demonstrate correct use of the written and spoken word </li><li>Evaluate and report student progress on the approval reporting tool and as scheduled </li><li>Follow Summit Academy's Instructional Design </li><li>Adhere to the teacher responsibilities set forth in the Teacher Handbook </li><li>Establish and maintain positive rapport with people </li><li>Establish and maintain a classroom routine </li><li>Establish teacher expectation of students </li><li>Uphold school rules </li><li>Show evidence of a positive attitude toward: Colleague, students, parents/guardians, special service personnel, support staff, administrators, visitors/public </li><li>Show evidence of participation in professional improvement activities </li><li>Participate on school and/or district-wide curriculum committees </li><li>Plan, implement, and complete an IPDP as prescribed by the LPDC </li><li>Maintain professional behavior </li><li>Dress professionally </li></ul> <p>All other responsibilities as set forth by the School Director and CEO.</p>
