Join a dedicated team of nearly 10,000 who are shaping the future we envision.</p> <p>Moffitt has been recognized as a Best and Brightest Company to Work for in the Nation, a Digital Health Most Wired Organization and continually named one of the Tampa Bay Time's Top Workplaces.</p> <p>A National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center since 2001.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li>To provide spiritual care to patients, families, visitors and staff, regardless of faith tradition or lack thereof. </li><li>To be a resource and liaison for local clergy, community faith groups and community civic groups. </li><li>To implement all aspects of chaplaincy care and education at Moffitt Cancer Center, Moffitt at International Plaza, McKinley and other Moffitt locations not named. </li><li>To work collaboratively with members of the interdisciplinary team. </li><li>To communicate accurately, clearly and in a timely manner, both verbally and in written materials. </li><li>To enter electronic documentation of all patient interactions into the electronic health record. </li><li>To record daily work into the Pastoral Care Activity Reporting System (PCARS). </li><li>To perform duties of on-call after hours, on weekends and holidays when scheduled. </li></ul> <p>The Ideal Candidate</p> <ul> <li>The ideal candidate will have the following: </li><li>Four (4) or more units of CPE </li><li>Ordination or equivalent from faith group; </li><li>Master's Degree in Theology (Divinity) </li><li>2 or more years' experience in a setting such as, but not limited to, hospital, hospice, long-term care facility; religious institution, center of worship </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide Spiritual Assessment and counseling to patients, families and staff.. </li><li>Support patients' rights by considering psychosocial, spiritual and cultural variables influencing perceptions of illness. </li><li>Triage requests for the priest and contact the priest in emergency situations; make referrals to the priest for non-emergencies.. </li><li>Provide grief de-briefing and similar de-briefing for individuals and/or groups as appropriate; collaborate with Human Resources to provide support for staff in tragic situations involving staff and/or patients. </li><li>Enter daily statistics into Pastoral Care Activity Accounting System(PCARS) and participate in Quality Improvement(QI) activities in the Department of Chaplaincy Care </li><li>Assist patients, family members and staff with Advance Care Planning and communicate patients' wishes to the interdisciplinary team. </li></ul> <p>Credentials and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Theology (Divinity) </li><li>Minimum four (4) unit of CPE </li><li>A current/active ordination, endorsement, or validation for ministry from a faith group. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years' experience in a setting such as, but not limited to, hospital, hospice, long-term care facility; religious institution, center of worship </li><li>Must complete Board-Certified Chaplain (BCC) within 3 years of hire, or upon transfer into FT/PT status, from one of the following professional organizations: Association of Professional Chaplains (APC); National Association for Catholic Chaplains (NACC); or National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC). </li><li>Evidence of understanding of diverse populations </li></ul> <p>Share:</p>
