<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Rossville Consolidated School District is seeking an Agricultural Education Teacher to lead and grow our agricultural education program. The Agricultural Education Teacher will provide instruction in agriculture courses approved by the Indiana Department of Education, supervise students, and serve as an advisor for the Rossville FFA chapter. This role is vital in promoting agricultural education as an integral component of student learning, leadership development, and career readiness.</p> <p>Classroom Instruction:</p> <ul> <li>Teach all areas of the Indiana Content Standards for Agriculture, including specific Agriculture Pathways. </li><li>Develop and deliver teaching plans, demonstrations, and instructional materials for all assigned classes. </li><li>Prepare and maintain teaching schedules, curriculum guides, and instructional calendars. </li><li>Manage classroom and laboratory resources, including maintaining inventories and records of agricultural materials and equipment. </li></ul> <p>FFA Advisement:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary advisor for the Rossville FFA chapter. </li><li>Coordinate and promote FFA activities at the local, district, state, and national levels. </li><li>Prepare and train FFA contest teams and oversee student entries into competitions and events. </li><li>Assist students in preparing award and degree applications, including proficiency awards, State FFA Degrees, and American FFA Degrees. </li><li>Lead students in planning and executing a public relations program to promote the local FFA chapter and the agricultural education department. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Indiana Teacher's License with certification in Agricultural Education. </li><li>Knowledge of Indiana Agriculture Content Standards and Supervised Agricultural Experience requirements. </li><li>Ability to develop student leadership, responsibility, and work ethic through agricultural education and FFA. </li><li>Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. </li></ul> <p>Please see the current Master Contract at:</p> <p>https://resources.finalsite.net/images/v1731521657/rcsdk12inus/fyjbymqiycfuoqkybodj/2024-2025MasterContract.pdf</p>
