Come join our dynamic team!</p> <p>What You Will Learn:</p> <p>As a Senior Technical Packaging Supervisor, you will leverage and expand your expertise to strategically lead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians in maintaining and optimizing complex packaging equipment. This role offers significant opportunities to influence operational efficiency and contribute to the organization's overall success by focusing on:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced Technical Leadership: Mastering intricate troubleshooting techniques, diagnosing and resolving critical equipment failures, leading root cause analyses, and implementing innovative solutions to minimize downtime and maximize performance. You will empower your team to develop their technical problem-solving skills and foster a culture of proactive problem prevention. </li><li>Strategic Prioritization and Resource Allocation: Developing and implementing efficient maintenance strategies, optimizing resource allocation across multiple lines and projects, and proactively mitigating potential production disruptions. This includes forecasting resource needs, managing budgets, and making data-driven decisions to optimize maintenance effectiveness. </li><li>Talent Development and Team Empowerment: Mentoring and coaching technicians to enhance their technical expertise, fostering a high-performing team environment, and driving continuous skill development. You will identify and develop future technical leaders, promoting cross-training and specialization to build a robust and adaptable team. </li><li>Performance Optimization and Accountability: Establishing clear performance expectations, conducting comprehensive performance reviews, and creating individualized development plans to maximize team member contributions. You will implement performance metrics and tracking systems to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement. </li><li>Collaboration and Communication: Building strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in Production, Engineering, and other departments to align on strategic maintenance priorities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and proactively address production challenges. You will influence decisions related to equipment investments and upgrades. </li></ul> <p>What We Are Looking For:</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Associate's degree or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Industrial Technology, Packaging Science, etc.) strongly preferred. </li><li>Experience: 8+ years of experience in a technical capacity within a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of successfully troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing complex packaging equipment. 3+ years of demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising and developing technical teams. </li><li>Job-Specific Skills: Expert mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills; in-depth knowledge of packaging equipment operation, maintenance, and optimization; solid understanding of PLC programming, control systems, and automation technologies; exceptional communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills. </li><li>Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software); experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS) and data analysis tools. </li><li>Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures; ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods; ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Industry Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or certifications related to specific packaging equipment or technologies. </li><li>Experience with Specific Packaging Technologies: Experience with bottle loaders, fillers, cappers, labeling equipment, cartoning machines, or bundlers. </li><li>Experience in a Regulated Industry: Experience working in an FDA or GMP regulated environment. </li><li>Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Experience: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. </li></ul> <p>As an integral part of our culture at L'Oréal, wellness is at our core.
