<p>Overview</p> <p>Registered Nurse, Surgery</p> <p>$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Experienced Nurses</p> <p>Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift</p> <p>Cross train to work in Surgery and GI Department (Circulator, Pre-op, and PACU). One day a weekday call and rotating weekend call every 4-6 weeks. ACLS and PALS certification (may obtain upon hiring). Available to work or cross-train in multiple areas within the department. Opportunities in GI Lab, Pre-op, PACU, and Operating Room.</p> <p>Recruiter: Sandra Simmons || ssimmon6@covhlth.com || 865-374-5368</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Correlates patient history and support systems across continuum of care. </li><li>Completes nursing history and initiates patient education. </li><li>Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams making recommendations to facilitate patient care. </li><li>Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis and patient needs. Evaluates outcomes. </li><li>Resolves issues regarding complex issues without oversight or supervision. </li><li>Clinical expertise and knowledge is such that Clinical Nurse III can resolve complex patient/management/physician issues without supervision. </li><li>Demonstrates active participation in unit or facility activities. </li><li>Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age specific needs of the population served. </li><li>Leads process improvement initiatives as directed that facilitate achievement of department/facility goals and quality initiatives. </li><li>Serves as Clinical Coach in orientation/continuing education of new employees and students as directed. </li><li>Serves as instructor for annual continuing education events such as skills day, education programs, new equipment in-services, etc. as directed. </li><li>Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters. </li><li>Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Education:</p> <p>None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.</p> <p>Minimum Experience:</p> <p>Minimum of three (3) years professional experience.</p> <p>Licensure Requirement:</p> <p>Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN license. CPR required.</p>
