<p>The Division for Land-Grant Engagement at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Landscape Worker at Jackson's Mill. This temporary position located at Jackson's Mill in Weston WV will provide support to the facilities unit by providing grounds maintenance during a high-volume season.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>General grounds maintenance (mowing, weed eating, leaf raking). </li><li>Pick up trash around the grounds and buildings. </li><li>Light carpentry duties and ditch work. </li><li>Painting and associated maintenance work such as scraping paint. </li><li>Move equipment, furnishings, supplies, etc. </li><li>Maintain clean work area by removing construction debris. </li><li>Basic maintenance such as changing light bulbs and receptacle covers. </li></ul> <p>Pay Grade:</p> <p>Length of Assignment: 5 Months</p> <p>Work Hours: 37.5 Hours per week</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED - Vocational training in relevant field preferred. Up to 6 months education beyond high school in related field (carpentry, equipment operation, building trades) </li><li>A minimum of one (1) year of experience operating groundskeeping equipment </li><li>A minimum of three (3) months of Lawn Maintenance/care experience </li><li>Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered. </li><li>All qualifications must be met by the time of employment. </li></ul>
