<p>Role Summary The Director of Managed Application Services is a high-visibility leadership role within our IT organization responsible for the day-to-day operation, resiliency, and continuous delivery of Freshpet's business-critical systems. You will lead the teams responsible for ERP Administration, Technology Services (EDI), and Technology Delivery (Developers & Partners), ensuring that all technical builds align with organizational goals and are met with the highest standards. This is also a "Player-Coach" role that requires a blend of hands-on technical guidance, rigorous change control governance, and exceptional organizational communication.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li>Business Liaison & Delivery Coordination </li></ol> <p>Build Management: Oversee the lifecycle of system enhancements and technical builds. Ensure that requirements from the business are clearly captured/documented, prioritized, and delivered by the technical teams. Organizational Communication: Draft and send organization-wide updates regarding system maintenance, new feature releases, project milestones, and critical incident status. Primary Interface: Serve as a "face of IT" for functional leaders in Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain while serving as a liaison between the business and Freshpet's Solution Architects within our IT team.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Technical Operations & Resiliency </li></ol> <p>Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the ERP Administrators and the EDI team members ensuring projects are in-line with timelines and technical deliverables are met. Set clear performance standards and ensure 24/7 system availability in a fast-paced Manufacturing/CPG environment. ERP & EDI Stewardship: Oversee the daily support of the ERP ecosystem. Ensure EDI data (Orders, Invoices, ASNs) flows accurately between the organization and its trading partners. Governance & Audit: Work closely with Internal Audit and External Auditors by serving as a liaison (with other Solution Architects) the lead for ERP-related audits. Enforce strict change control measures to ensure system integrity and compliance with internal and external regulations.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Partner & Project Oversight </li></ol> <p>Managed Services: Oversee the day-to-day support provided by third-party partners and developers. Ensure they meet technical SLAs and that their output meets the organization's quality standards. Special Projects: Serve as a key team member on various high-impact technology projects (upgrades, integrations, or module deployments) from inception through post-go-live stabilization.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Experience: At least 15 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing ERP, and EDI teams & environments. Industry Context (7+ years): Deep understanding of the Manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, specifically inventory management, supply chain workflows, finance, and other key areas in a manufacturing environment. ERP Expertise (10 years): Deep familiarity with major ERP platforms. While Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is highly preferred, extensive experience with other well-known ERP's (i.e. SAP or Oracle) is acceptable. Governance & Change Control: At least 5 years' experience managing technology teams responsible for the administration and operation of ERP in a publicly traded company including direct support of financial systems audits. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (Master's/MBA a plus).</p> <p>Core Competencies</p> <p>Operational Resiliency: A proactive mindset focused on "keeping the lights on" while simultaneously driving improvement. Hands-on Leadership: Willingness to "dive into the weeds" to solve a technical roadblock while maintaining a strategic view of the department. Diplomacy: Ability to manage conflicting priorities between departments with tact and professionalism.</p> <p>Location: This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office at Freshpet's Bedminster campus.</p>
