<p>Job Description Summary</p> <p>We are seeking a reliable candidate for a full-time lab research technician position in Taniguchi and Lavin Lab at the Medical University of South Carolina in the Department of Neuroscience. The Taniguchi and Lavin labs investigate molecular and cellular mechanisms of behavioral plasticity underlying substance use disorders, using a preclinical animal model. The ideal candidate should be a dedicated team player with an interest in science. While prior laboratory experience is preferred, it is not required, as trainings will be provided. Collect brain and other tissue samples from rodents.</p> <p>20% - Data collection and analysis: Collect and analyze experimental data, maintain accurate records, participate in experimental planning and discussion, and collaborate with lab members</p> <p>10% - Laboratory maintenance: Maintain lab operations, including monitoring supplies and ordering necessary experimental items.</p> <p>5% - Other Duties as assigned</p> <p>Additional Job Description</p> <p>Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and two years journey-level technical experience in a related laboratory setting.
