<p>Title: Sterile Processing Supervisor</p> <p>Reports to: Practice Administrator</p> <p>Location - onsite/hybrid: Onsite</p> <p>Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week</p> <p>Who we are:</p> <p>Spire Orthopedic Partners is a growing national partnership of orthopedic practices that provides the support, capital and operational resources physicians need to grow thriving practices for the future. Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, the Spire network spans the Northeast with more than 165 physicians, 1,800 employees, 285 other clinical providers and 40 locations in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.</p> <p>What you'll do: The Sterile Processing Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the Sterile Processing Technicians. They ensure maintaining instruments and equipment in an optimal fashion and preparing instrumentation, equipment, and sterile supplies for the surgical patient.</p> <p>Responsibilities/Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Train and orient all incoming team members</p> </li><li> <p>Create a staff scheduling grid to meet the needs of the patient population</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the daily management of the team</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for daily assignments of workload</p> </li><li> <p>Execute daily communication huddle</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in monthly meetings with ASC leadership to review and report on goals, initiatives, metrics, and operations</p> </li><li> <p>Functions as a working leader for instrument processing.</p> </li><li> <p>80% Hands On</p> </li><li> <p>20% Administrative</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates ability to understand and use sterilizers, high-level disinfectors, instrument washers, and other designated processors</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for evaluating the workflow of department and making necessary changes/recommendations to ensure the needs of the department are met</p> </li><li> <p>Perform weekly inventory of processing supplies and notifies the inventory manager of department needs</p> </li><li> <p>Manage inbound/outbound vendor trays</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the repair/replacement of house instruments</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for all data reporting for the sterile processing department</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for process improvement within the department</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for communicating the service needs of SPD machinery with appropriate vendors</p> </li><li> <p>Attends and participates in all applicable facility training and development workshops scheduled by the facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs all other duties as assigned by management</p> </li><li> <p>Compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Who you are:</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Certification in Central Sterile required. </li><li>Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. </li><li>Understanding of sterilization and high-level disinfection technologies including industry standardized principles and practice in sterilization and disinfection required. </li><li>Prior experience in instrument processing preferred. </li></ul> <p>What we offer:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent growth and advancement opportunities </li><li>Dynamic environment </li><li>Access to a diverse network of practitioners </li><li>Broad infrastructure of tools and programs to enhance the employee experience </li><li>Competitive Compensation </li><li>Generous PTO </li><li>Benefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc. </li></ul> <p>We are an equal-opportunity employer.
