It all starts here!</p> <p>(Student) Sports Information Assistant</p> <p>WORK LOCATION: Grand Rapids - Lettinga Campus</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Athletics-Administration</p> <p>POSITION PAY RANGE: $12.00 - 15.00, Hourly</p> <p>TARGET HIRING RANGE: Actual pay offered will be commensurate with candidate qualifications and experience, the type of role, pay equity and available funding.</p> <p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>Home Game Video Streaming Assistance</p> <p>This position will largely act as a resource for assisting with home game live video streaming for the public to view. This person will be responsible for operating a video camera and also producing the live stream using a MacBook. It needs to be someone that will pay very close attention to detail because of the responsibility of solely making sure the public has a great viewing experience. It will require basic computer skills and knowledge of internet connectivity.</p> <p>Office Assistant</p> <p>This position acts as a general assistant to the department performing clerical office functions related to daily operations as well as assisting the department.</p> <p>Social Media Contributor</p> <p>This position will be asked to perform a task of updating social media channels for the athletic department during home events. There will be in-game content being created including live game tweets and graphic creation for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.</p> <p>GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating files and record keeping systems. </li><li>Generate reports, correspondence, presentation materials, spreadsheets and graphics, and other materials using various software programs. </li><li>Assist with special events and functions as needed. </li><li>Handle documents while maintaining appropriate confidentiality. </li><li>Conduct special projects, research and assignments as needed. </li><li>Provide GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers. </li><li>Demonstrate and promote the University Cultural Values. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>Assist with game set up and take down. </li><li>Copy and collate documents. </li><li>Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent. </li><li>Must be work study eligible. </li><li>Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours as an undergraduate student or 3 credit hours as a graduate student while meeting the standards of academic progress. </li><li>Pursuing a degree in marketing, sports marketing or sport management. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively with computerized data systems (PC and mainframe). </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills that transcend diverse audiences; communicating to university customers with positive attitudes toward change, confidentiality, and conflict resolution. </li><li>Demonstrated motivational and problem solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of the University. </li><li>Office/Library environment. Prolonged sitting and standing. Use of personal computer and telephone (eye and hand strain). Moderate lifting requirements (up to 50 lbs.) </li></ul> <p>SEIND19</p>
