Then join us in North Grafton, MA !</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>The RedKote/SilKote Operator will be directly involved in the monitoring and operation of several pieces of crushing and grading equipment. This position will work with various sizes of abrasive grain throughout the plant.</p> <p>The RedKote/SilKote Operator will work with and directly report to the Production Foreman. This position is first shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 6:00 pm with occasional overtime required on Fridays.</p> <ul> <li>Put grains into containers for customer shipment or store in one of several warehouse locations throughout the plant </li><li>Operate plant equipment, such as but not limited to fork truck, electric chain hoist, mixer/blender, and rotary kiln </li><li>Perform basic tests and inspections of finished products </li><li>Fill, transport, palletize, stack, and organize drums, super sacks and bags of abrasive grain </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need</p> <p>To be successful in this position, you must:</p> <ul> <li>Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, certifications or higher education a plus </li><li>Be willing to work safely and efficiently while meeting daily production targets </li><li>Understand quality requirements and communicate with supervisors when needed </li><li>Operate a gas fired rotary kiln. </li><li>Prepare chemical mixtures with use of charts. </li><li>Monitor production line for evidence of mechanical failure, product contamination and other hazards. </li><li>Handle drums, super sacks, and bags of abrasive grain through various methods: manually, with powered lift devices, with motorized pallet jacks and with fork trucks. </li><li>Have the ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing production demands </li><li>Understand how to perform preventative maintenance (PM) and perform basic repairs on equipment </li><li>Be able to speak, read, and write English (Spanish is a plus) </li><li>Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and stand/walk up to 10 hours </li><li>Various duties as needed to support Washington Mills </li></ul> <p>Who We Are</p> <p>Washington Mills is built on values that matter.
