<p>The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is responsible for investigating criminal activity in the State of Louisiana. CID is comprised of both Detectives and Narcotics investigators. CID operates in three (3) Regions throughout the state, which follow the same geographical lines as the Patrol Regions. Please see the Patrol and Troop Section for maps of the specific areas of responsibility. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.</p> <p>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>The incumbent will serve as the financial and budgetary liaison between CID Region 1 and the Office of Management and Finance, managing select budgets and budget requests. </li><li>Performs all functions required for requisitioning equipment, supplies, and services utilizing the incumbent's state purchasing card or LaGOV procurement. Reconciles LaCarte statements monthly. </li><li>Assists in the development and planning of current and future expenditure requirements including equipment, programs, and supplies necessary to accomplish goals and objectives of the section while remaining within the budget. </li><li>The incumbent should be knowledgeable of all steps regarding hiring civil service employees and be able to give guidance to the hiring supervisor and Captain. </li><li>Keeps the Captain and hiring supervisor updated on completion date of each step. </li><li>Acts as the primary coordinator and point of contact for all hiring functions including submitting background investigation results to Internal Affairs and processing of hiring forms and documents. </li><li>Prepares and submits requests for position vacancies and lateral reassignments for LSP positions within the section. </li><li>Draft new and updated position descriptions. </li><li>Monitor WAE renewal dates for timely submission of yearly renewal requests. </li><li>Receive and screen callers including taking complaints and referring callers to the appropriate authority when necessary. </li><li>Maintain the Commander's appointment calendar, coordinate and attend meetings and assist with travel arrangements as needed. </li><li>Reviews, sorts, and disseminates mail to appropriate sections within the department and independently responds to requests not </li></ul> <p>requiring the attention of the Commander.</p> <ul> <li>This position coordinates, verifies, and submits routine correspondence and requests, including but not limited to: annual evaluations; travel expense accounts; family medical leave requests; secondary employment applications; and initiates user actions requests for newly reassigned and/or promoted personnel. </li><li>This position reviews, submits, and maintains contracts, grants, and memorandums of understanding to the chain of command, ensuring all renewals are received and submitted on a timely basis.
