<p>Job Title:</p> <p>Junior Consultant - Group Facilitation & Qualitative Data Analysis Support</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Washington, D.C.</p> <p>Clearance Requirement:</p> <p>Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or other applicable federal security clearance.</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>We are seeking Junior Consultants with a minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting the design, management, and facilitation of group-based qualitative data collection interventions for federal clients. This role involves supporting both large group and small group engagements, including data gathering, facilitation/co-facilitation, and post-session analysis. Junior Consultants will work under the guidance of more senior staff but are expected to take initiative and contribute meaningfully to project deliverables.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist in the project management of qualitative data collection efforts, including planning, scheduling, logistics coordination, and stakeholder communication.</p> </li><li> <p>Design and support the execution of large and small group facilitation activities such as focus groups, workshops, listening sessions, and stakeholder engagements.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate or co-facilitate group sessions, guiding discussions and ensuring inclusive, productive participation.</p> </li><li> <p>Capture, analyze, and synthesize qualitative data from group interventions, including developing themes, findings, and recommendations.</p> </li><li> <p>Draft session reports, briefing materials, and presentation decks for both internal and client use.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the development of facilitation materials, including agendas, discussion guides, and interactive exercises.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and high-quality deliverables.</p> </li><li> <p>Contribute to knowledge management by maintaining records of session outputs and lessons learned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in project management, group facilitation, and qualitative data collection/analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience supporting or leading large group and small group interventions in a professional environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively with both senior leaders and frontline staff in a client-facing role.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience developing professional materials such as meeting summaries, reports, and analysis documents.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Miro, Mural, or SharePoint.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience working with federal agencies or government clients.</p> </li><li> <p>Training or certification in facilitation, human-centered design, or group dynamics (e.g., ToP facilitation methods, Liberating Structures, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with qualitative analysis methodologies (e.g., thematic analysis, coding transcripts).</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with KM/KT or organizational development is a plus.</p> </li></ul> <p>Soft Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable working under the supervision of senior consultants while contributing independently.</p> </li><li> <p>Professional demeanor and a collaborative mindset.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field. </li></ul>
