<p>Job Title: Adjunct Instructor - Business (non-benefited)</p> <p>Location: Face-to-Face at Mayville State University, Mayville, ND and Online</p> <p>Compensation: Salary to commensurate with course load. An offer of employment is contingent on passing a background check.</p> <p>Benefits: Non-Benefited</p> <p>Who can apply: Internal/external candidates eligible to work in the United States. Mayville State University will not offer visa sponsorship for this position.</p> <p>Recruitment: Internal and External</p> <p>Start date: Fill as needed</p> <p>Position Information:</p> <p>The Division of Business at Mayville State University is accepting applications for Adjunct Instructors on an ongoing basis. We are looking for instructors who can teach a variety of on-campus and/or online courses with expertise in the areas of general business, management, marketing, banking, and leadership. These positions and applications are viewed as openings occur.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Deliver high-quality instruction in undergraduate Business Administration and/or MS in Leadership courses (on-campus and/or online); prepare engaging lectures/materials, facilitate in-person and/or virtual discussions, and assess student performance via varied methods.</p> </li><li> <p>Leverage the Learning Management System (LMS) to enhance teaching, facilitate student engagement, and deliver course content effectively, whether the course is taught fully online or in-person with the LMS available for supplementary use.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate, confidential student grades and records per institutional policy; provide timely constructive feedback, monitor progress for on-campus and/or online students, participate in early warning systems, identify at-risk students, and initiate appropriate interventions or referrals.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Undergraduate Courses</p> <ul> <li> <p>A master's degree or higher in the discipline/field of instruction, or</p> </li><li> <p>A master's degree in any field plus at least 18 graduate semester credits in the discipline/field of instruction.</p> </li></ul> <p>Graduate Courses:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A terminal degree in the discipline/field of instruction, and</p> </li><li> <p>A record of scholarship, clinical/field experience, or relevant professional achievement appropriate to the graduate program.</p> </li></ul> <p>Equivalent Experience:</p> <p>In select cases, substantial professional experience and supporting qualifications may be accepted in lieu of standard credentials listed above.</p> <p>For Undergraduate-Level Courses:</p> <p>Must document at least 5 years of full-time equivalent, directly related professional experience plus at least one of the following:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or any bachelor's degree + 3 additional years of related experience</p> </li><li> <p>Related graduate coursework</p> </li><li> <p>Any master's degree</p> </li><li> <p>Relevant certifications, licensure, or other non-degree credentials (If no bachelor's degree, certifications/licensure must have been active for at least 5 years.)</p> </li></ul> <p>For Graduate Level Courses:</p> <p>One of the following combinations must be documented:</p> <ul> <li> <p>10+ years of direct, relevant experience + bachelor's degree (in any field) plus related graduate coursework, certifications, licensure, or other non-degree credentials</p> </li><li> <p>7+ years of direct, relevant experience + any master's degree plus related graduate coursework, certifications, licensure, or other non-degree credentials</p> </li><li> <p>7+ years of direct, relevant experience + master's degree in a related discipline</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of direct, relevant experience + completed doctorate (in any field)</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional consideration may be given for graduate-level teaching based on:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate coursework beyond the master's degree</p> </li><li> <p>Relevant certifications, licensure, or non-degree credentials</p> </li><li> <p>Publications, research, or scholarly/professional activity in the field</p> </li></ul> <p>All qualifications are subject to review and approval in accordance with institutional and accrediting standards.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with a variety of course delivery methods and technologies </li><li>Experience teaching in higher education </li><li>Managerial and/or leadership experience in business or industry </li><li>Demonstrated leadership and community service. </li></ul> <p>Applicants must submit the following materials to be considered fully:</p> <ul> <li>A letter of application </li><li>A current resume/CV </li><li>Unofficial, or copies of official, transcripts are acceptable at the time of inquiry, but official transcripts will be required if hired. </li><li>Copies of licensure and certifications (as applicable) </li></ul> <p>Application review will be on going and will continue until filled.</p> <p>MaSU is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from diverse candidates and candidates who support diversity.
