<p>Job Title: Survey CAD Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>This role involves developing survey boundary, topographic, and control surveys, as well as construction stakeout using CAD/MicroStation platforms. The technician will receive field data and transform them into working drawings, existing conditions base sheets, and finished plats, working under the direction of a Project Surveyor.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop boundary, topographic, and control surveys and construction stakeout for various types of projects. </li><li>Complete survey computations and prepare boundary, subdivision, easement plats, and legal descriptions. </li><li>Process topographic survey, control, and location survey information. </li><li>Prepare, understand, and complete drawings in accordance with project specifications and industry survey standards. </li><li>Create preliminary and final sketches of proposed drawings using computer-assisted design/drafting equipment. </li><li>Modify drawings as directed by the project manager or project surveyor. </li><li>Work closely with other surveyors and engineers to ensure a coordinated design. </li><li>Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in AutoCAD with at least 2 years of experience in surveying. </li><li>Experience in field surveying for at least 2 years. </li><li>Skill in design, drafting, and use of Civil 3D and Carlson survey software. </li><li>Knowledge of topography, topographic surveys, and land surveying. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Interest in obtaining a professional license is preferred but not required. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role involves a 50/50 mix of office to field work initially, transitioning to a 100% office role in Germantown. The Germantown office houses around 40 employees and is a beautiful new facility. Remote work is available for 1 day per week.
