Please ask for more details. </li><li>Health center location is public transit accessible (MBTA Blue Line). </li><li>Enjoy generous and broad benefits package including several medical insurance plans, matched 403B, continuing education, paid time and much more! </li></ul> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>ABOUT THIS JOB:</p> <ul> <li>The mental health department at MGH-Revere seeks a skilled and independent clinical social worker to add to our multi-disciplinary team of clinicians serving the health center's patient population. </li><li>The ideal candidate would have a strong, quality-driven work ethic, experience in providing clinical care to adults and children, be proficient in multiple modes of psychotherapy, have awareness and sensitivity to multicultural issues, be able to negotiate psychosocial problems inherent in our patient population, work well with other members of the clinical team and health center staff, and be committed to the mission and values of the organization. </li><li>Additional language proficiency is desirable, Spanish language skills beneficial given our diverse patient population. </li><li>This position largely involves providing individual psychotherapy to patients with a diverse range of diagnoses. </li><li>LICSW / LMHC </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Require either:</p> </li><li> <p>a) Master's of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program and current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)</p> </li><li> <p>OR</p> </li><li> <p>b) Master's degree such as mental health or psychology from an accredited program and current Massachusetts Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).</p> </li><li> <p>Experience providing therapy services.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong assessment and treatment skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Good organizational skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective team collaboration.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to understand the role of social worker in a hospital setting and to work in a complex, fast-paced environment.</p> </li></ul> <p>SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge of specific medical/psychiatric illnesses, procedures and treatments, related medications (i.e., psychotropic, chemotherapy, etc.), acuity versus chronicity, and effect on normal growth and development.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to provide rapid clinical psychosocial assessments and brief, short term or long term treatment/management with individuals, families, couples and/or groups.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to provide crisis intervention/treatment/management skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated competency in age specific, developmental behaviors; cultural issues; effect and management of illness.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of community agencies/resources.
