Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments, optimize processes, develop vendor relationships and ensure compliance with organizational policies and financial regulations.</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Supervision and Management:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and manage the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. </li><li>Ensure the team is efficient and accurate in processing invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions. </li></ul> <p>Invoice and Payment Processing:</p> <ul> <li>Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness. </li><li>Process payments accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and payment terms. </li><li>Resolve any discrepancies or issues with vendors. </li><li>Manage escheatment and abandoned property workflow. </li></ul> <p>Process Improvement and Optimization:</p> <ul> <li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. </li><li>Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for AP processes. </li><li>Manage cross-training documents for AP processes. </li></ul> <p>Vendor Relations:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate payment terms. </li><li>Address vendor inquiries and resolve any issues promptly. </li></ul> <p>Compliance and Reporting:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. </li><li>Prepare and analyze reports related to accounts payable. </li><li>Responsible for the production and management of 1099/1096 reporting. </li></ul> <p>Cash Flow Management:</p> <ul> <li>Optimize cash flow by taking advantage of early payment discounts and managing payment schedules. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field or Equivalent experience may be considered. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>CPA, CMA or APM certification(s) are a plus </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally in carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling objects </li><li>Sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally </li></ul> <p>Location and Travel Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Hybrid (physical office at Arnot or CMC) </li></ul> <p>Pay Range Disclosure:</p> <ul> <li>$29.04 per hour or $60,403 annually </li></ul> <p>Cayuga Health System and its affiliates are committed to treating all patients, providers, staff and volunteers equitably and with dignity, ensuring the highest levels of safety, care and respect, and striving to recognize and overcome biases and policies that contribute to disparities in healthcare access, equitable care and positive health outcomes for all.</p> <p>We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, supporting the growth and health of our employees and community by embracing the rich diversity, needs and circumstances of all peoples and prioritizing opportunities to build a diverse and inclusive workplace.
