Join our Ramily!</p> <p>There is a new view on the horizon and learning is required! https://www.rgsdmo.org</p> <p>SUMMARY: Reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing, implementing, and communicating the district's benefits program to include medical, dental, vision, supplemental life, retirement, and Cobra plans of all employees. Manages vendor relationships ensuring programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost-effective.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: When a specific assignment has additional or different ESSENTIAL FUNCTION requirements, the differences will be discussed at the time of assignment.</p> <ul> <li>Manage benefit integration databases utilizing technology that includes: </li><li>Coordinating electronic import of new employee information and benefit files into integrated HR/ payroll systems </li><li>Providing benefit system oversight resource standards in compliance with the local state and federal guidelines </li><li>Creating protocols for customized employee data reports for MSIP, Core Data, EEOC, etc. </li><li>Manages administration of employee benefits program which includes: </li><li>Collaborating with plan administrators and carriers to resolve employee issues </li><li>Developing and administering the open enrollment and benefit plan renewal process and defining out-year requirements </li><li>Manages the administration of district benefits programs, including Board paid benefits, voluntary benefits, retiree benefits, and COBRA </li><li>Responsible for maintaining the records of participants in the districts benefit plan such as insurance and employee statistics for government reporting </li><li>Review and audit insurance carrier invoices to be reconciled with client employer practices </li><li>Coordinating the electron transfer of district employee data to external contracts for service, premiums, and benefit plan administrations </li><li>Responsible for uploading vendor reports/ invoices for vendor-secured websites and downloading information to the districts shared drive for reconciliation </li><li>Creating and processing the electronic transfer of benefit elections/ changes prior to the end of each payroll </li><li>Electronically accessing vendor invoices for reconciliation and payment processing </li><li>Presenting the benefit program to new employees, retirees, and Cobra participants </li><li>Managing the annual open enrollment process for employees and retirees </li><li>Working directly with PSRS and PEERS Retirement Systems </li><li>Regular attendance is required </li><li>Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>NOTE: Includes personal movement and sitting some of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above noted essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree or 60 credit hours of college credits and human resources or business-related field or equivalent combination of education and/ or experience </li><li>Minimum of 3 years' experience of in benefits/ payroll </li><li>Experience working in a school district, preferred. </li><li>Experience administering benefit plans (ie. health insurance, life insurance, and disability programs) required </li><li>Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state regulations including FMLA, Cobra, ADA, etc. </li><li>Experience with billing and account reconciliation required </li><li>Knowledge of and experience with managing the Missouri Public School Retirement System preferred </li><li>Must have excellent project management, customer service, and communication skills. </li><li>Knowledge of computer applications </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under deadlines </li><li>Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Working knowledge of Benefit Plan eligibility requirements </li><li>Ability to analyze and calculate benefit deductions </li><li>Successful completion of background check by Human Resources </li></ul> <p>Computer Skills:</p> <ul> <li>In depth knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite, etc. </li><li>Familiar with HRIS and/or database systems for collection, tracking and reporting of data </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Exerts 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or </li><li>Exerts 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or </li><li>Prolonged periods of working on a computer. </li><li>Sufficient vision to read printed material, see distant objects with clarity, and identify and distinguish objects. </li><li>Sufficient hearing to hear conversations in person and on the telephone, and hear sounds clearly up to 20 feet. </li><li>Ability to speak in an understandable voice with sufficient volume to be heard in normal conversation and on the telephone, and in addressing groups. </li><li>Requires occasional or frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time. </li><li>The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and is generally a hazard free environment. </li><li>Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed. </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <p>Year: 12-Month</p> <p>Shift Type: Full-Time (Exempt)</p> <p>Salary: Administrator Range on the District Administrator Salary Scale</p>
