<p>Position Summary</p> <p>As a Sales Associate at The UPS Store, you will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service and ensuring a positive experience. Your role encompasses a variety of tasks, including assisting customers with their shipping, printing, and business service needs. You will handle package processing, operate various office equipment, and manage point-of-sale transactions. Additionally, you will provide accurate information about our products and services, identify customer needs, and offer appropriate solutions. Maintaining store cleanliness and organization is also a key responsibility. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and computer skills. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries. </li><li>Execute best practices instituted by The UPS Store franchise and Kabelin Shipping Company. </li><li>Maintain day-to-day operations and uphold housekeeping standards. </li><li>Ensure effective communication with staff and management. </li><li>Maintain merchandising standards. </li><li>Answer customers' questions and provide information on products and services. </li><li>Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system. </li><li>Follow packaging requirements to ensure no damage occurs to customers' products. </li><li>Communicate all packaging requirements with the UPS driver at the time of pickup (e.g., high-value items are signed at pickup). </li><li>Assist customers with copying, faxing, laminating, and binding projects. </li><li>Coordinate print orders with our print specialist. </li><li>Sell and maintain customer mailboxes. </li><li>Balance end-of-day cash drawers. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge and Skill Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance. </li><li>Capacity to multitask effectively. </li><li>Ability to lift at least 60 pounds and reach above your head. </li><li>Must be able to stand for up to 8-10 hours per shift. </li></ul> <p>Company Introduction</p> <p>When a help wanted sign hangs in the window of your local Ace, it means so much more than "we're hiring."</p> <p>Help is who we are.
