We offer an excellent benefits package to include health, dental and vision, defined contribution plan (457b), life insurance, wellness programs, vacation, sick leave, and 12 paid holidays, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement.</p> <p>Women, minorities and Veterans are encouraged to apply.</p> <p>We are a Veteran-friendly employer</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <p>As a Parks Maintenance Supervisor, you'll take the lead on:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Supervising and mentoring staff: Direct work assignments, provide guidance, and manage performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Planning and coordinating landscaping projects, irrigation work, pesticide applications, and beautification efforts.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal maintenance regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Managing contracts and vendor relationships: From coordinating contractors to reviewing and approving invoices.</p> </li><li> <p>Working with the public: Respond to citizen concerns, conduct site visits, and ensure top-quality customer service.</p> </li><li> <p>Overseeing projects: From installing landscaping features to implementing in-house upgrades and infrastructure improvements.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining records: Submit timesheets, incident reports, work logs, and more to ensure accountability and transparency.</p> </li><li> <p>Responding to emergencies after hours as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Associate's Degree in Turf Management, Horticulture, or similar education plus four (4) years of experience in landscaping or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. </p> <p> </p> <p>Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history</p> <p>Requires the following certification/license(s) or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment:</p> <ul> <li>Georgia Commercial Pesticide License, Category 24 </li></ul> <p>Work Location: 16 Interchange Court     Work Hours: 7 am  -3:30 pm, Monday - Friday</p> <p>Additional Requirements Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen, and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required before employment.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of city operations, policies, and departmental maintenance procedures. </li><li>Understanding of landscaping practices. </li><li>Skilled in the operation and maintenance of landscaping and mechanical equipment. </li><li>Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Proficient in using computers and standard office software </li></ul>
