<p>Job Title Capstone Cup Graduate Assistant Department CBA Essential Functions</p> <p>The Capstone Cup Graduate Assistant (GA) will play a key role in supporting the strategy faculty in the Department of Management in the College of Business Administration (CBA). This position offers a unique opportunity to develop and showcase skills in event coordination, professional writing, and relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Event Coordination: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the UNO CBA Capstone Cup. This includes managing logistics, timelines, and event communications, as well as collaborating with faculty, students, sponsors, and business community members to ensure a successful event. </li><li>Community Engagement & Relationship Management: Serve as a liaison between CBA, UNO, and the Omaha business community. Build and maintain relationships with event sponsors, faculty, and students while promoting the Capstone Cup and other strategic initiatives. </li><li>Professional Writing & Content Development: </li></ul> <p>o Research and write one business case per semester, including conducting and coordinating interviews with business professionals.</p> <p>o Draft and develop the annual Capstone Cup report, highlighting key outcomes and achievements.</p> <p>o Create marketing content, event-related materials, and web content for the Capstone Cup website.</p> <ul> <li>Administrative & Event Support: </li></ul> <p>o Prepare documents, presentations, and marketing materials for events.</p> <p>o Manage event logistics, including coordinating with photographers and the CBA IT office.</p> <p>o Assist with event setup, tear-down, and follow-up communication to ensure smooth operations.</p> <p>Work Schedule Average 20 hrs per week. Varies with an increased workload on event weeks. Additional Duties Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Acceptance into a UNO graduate program, or current graduate student. </li><li>Strong organizational and coordination skills with experience in event planning or project management. </li><li>Exceptional writing and communication skills, with an ability to tailor content for different audiences and purposes. </li><li>Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. </li><li>Proficiency in creating presentations, marketing materials, and website content. </li><li>Self-motivated with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>The following are desired but not required:</p> <ul> <li>Competed in the Capstone Cup </li><li>Audio/video editing experience </li><li>Design experience (e.g. Canva or Illustrator) </li><li>Event planning experience </li><li>Current or incoming CBA Master's student </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Primarily office-related activities; be able to lift up to 30lbs for events.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work in the CBA in the Department of Marketing and Management (Suite 303).
