<p>Learning Center Teacher, BHS ESY Program</p> <p>POSITION OVERVIEW</p> <p>Seeking a licensed special education teacher (moderate, varied grade levels) to plan and provide instruction to students who require an Extended School Year (ESY), per their Individualized Education Program (IEP).</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced planning of curriculum </li><li>Communicating with parents </li><li>Coordinating services with related service providers </li><li>Writing progress reports at conclusion of program </li><li>Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated understanding of curriculum modifications and differentiation for a wide variety of students, with a focus on reading, writing and math skills </li><li>Mass DESE Moderate Disabilities </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>July 7, 2026 - July 30, 2026 </li><li>15 hour contract total (Includes 12 hours of direct teaching and an additional 3 hours total for planning/prep) </li></ul> <p>The Public Schools of Brookline is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute through their teaching or practice to the diversity and excellence of the PSB community.</p> <p>The Public Schools of Brookline is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
