<p>Course Description: Supervised practical experience in consultation process: problem identification and analysis, treatment implementation, and process and outcome evaluation. Databased indirect service delivery consistent with ethical and legal guidelines.</p> <p>The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Preferred qualifications for the position include a doctoral degree in school psychology or a related field.</p> <p>Job Specific Qualifications</p> <p>Students in the program develop doctoral-level, discipline-specific knowledge in the basic content areas in scientific psychology, which include affective, biological, cognitive, developmental, and social aspects of behavior. Each basic content area is described in the sections below.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>A part-time instructor to teach one required graduate course during the Spring 2025 (i.e., PSY 614 - Cognitive and Affective Bases of Behavior) semester. The course is required as part of the doctoral degree in School Psychology and provides graduate students with discipline-specific knowledge in the basic content areas in scientific psychology, which include affective and cognitive aspects of behavior by covering topics such as affect, mood, emotion, learning, memory, thought processes, and decision-making. It is anticipated that all second-, third- and fourth-year students enrolled in the school psychology program (n = 10) will enroll in the course. Preferred qualifications for the position include having a doctoral degree in school psychology or a related field.</p> <p>Additional Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Developing and/or updating a class syllabus. </li><li>Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date. </li><li>Preparation of lectures, projects, or other student assignments. </li><li>Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours. </li><li>Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course. </li><li>Meeting all designated class periods. If you are unable to meet your class due to illness or emergency, you should exercise your best effort to reschedule the class or to obtain a substitute. You must also notify the department chair of your absence and of your plan to cover the class. </li><li>Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations. </li><li>Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner. </li><li>Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations. </li><li>Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Tools/Equipment</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>In addition to completing an online application, please attach a curriculum vitae and cover letter.</p>
