We're looking for people like this to join our friendly, engaged, professional team.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>This position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Retail locations at River Island the West Village and supporting when needed other retail and recreation locations throughout the resort, including assigned vendors, concessionaires and other contract personnel. Ensure these facilities and services are operated in a professional and profitable manner, ensuring they meet or exceed our owner and guest expectations. In addition, this position helps oversee the daily cleanliness of the retail areas, pool areas and other adjacent areas. Ensures reporting personnel and vendor staff are commitment to exceeding service expectations. Serves as role model. Work is non-routine in that the general policies or procedures, which are available, must be applied to frequently changing situations. Individual adapts existing procedures to meet new situations and works independently toward general results, devising new methods as required. Decisions are frequent and significant requiring a high degree of originality, initiative, analysis, and judgement.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS</p> <ul> <li>Held ultimately accountable for the profitability and daily operations of departments listed above. </li><li>Ensures a respectful workplace where employees are engaged. </li><li>Ensures guest service standards are met while achieving guest ratings/scores as determined by the director. </li><li>Responsible for displaying merchandise in a manner that will make quality statement for the resort while maximizing revenue for each outlet. </li><li>Hires, trains and supervises all managers and support personnel in a manner consistent with Orange Lake standards of excellence. Specifically participates in hiring process for all direct and indirect reports. </li><li>Monitors training and on-going employee relations for indirect reports. </li><li>Assures all company Human Resources policies and procedures are followed and properly applied to all reporting personnel. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>All outlet personnel. The senior retail manager is ultimately responsible for the actions, results, successes and failures of this team in terms of service, budget, sales and employee satisfaction. This individual should take responsibility for the failures and share the successes always modelling the approach expected from the staff and assigned vendor personnel. Guidance is received with respect to general objectives for the majority of projects assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Must develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of resort policies, procedures, and operations and ensure communication of relevant information as required. </li><li>Must have advanced knowledge of retail management, including sales and marketing, purchasing strategies, pricing strategies, etc. </li><li>Must possess a sincere dedication to provide an unsurpassed level of owner and guest satisfaction. </li><li>Must have a high degree of judgement and business acumen. </li><li>Must have demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license; </li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age; </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Must have a proven background in guest relations and be able to address the needs of our owners and guests as well as staff. </li><li>Must have experience purchasing, controlling and merchandising retail inventory. </li><li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where all first efforts are focused on our guests' experience. </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Any certifications a plus. </li></ul> <p>#zrro3</p>
