<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Bernard Middle School Principal</p> <p>2025-2026 School Year</p> <p>Position Summary: The Mehlville School District is seeking an outstanding leader to complement the District leadership team as Middle School Principal. This position will be responsible for providing instructional leadership to staff including: curriculum planning, review and implementation and professional development. The position is also responsible for building administration and the safety and welfare of both students and staff. Skills in communication; interpersonal relationships, creative, energetic, positive, problem solving, nurturing and inclusive leadership are essential.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in education with emphasis in education administration </li><li>Missouri Principal Certification Secondary Education </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the general administration and instructional leadership of the building. </li><li>Responsible for directing overall site operations, services and staff at a middle school. </li><li>Provides information and serves as a resource to others; enforcing established policies and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Coordinates school activities and addresses issues, situations and/or problems that arise on campus or with enrolled students. </li><li>Improve classroom instruction, student/teacher rapport, student discipline and school climate. </li><li>Interacts with students in a constructive manner to encourage each individual to perform at their highest level. </li><li>Manages all building staff personnel. </li><li>Assigns teachers to classrooms and students to classes. </li><li>Visits classrooms on a regular basis. </li><li>Provides support to teachers and resolves staff problems. </li><li>Evaluates performance and effectiveness of programs and staff. </li><li>Coordinates in-service training for staff. </li><li>Prepares the school budget. </li><li>Develops and implements an effective school improvement plan consistent with district goals.
