Candidates shall have knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, strong communication skills; ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and to perform quantity takeoffs/calculations; and ability to prepare correspondence, reports, and recommendations concerning construction issues; and ability to establish and maintain project records.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in inspecting, testing, or managing construction projects is a must. Candidates must be fully proficient in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel, and Site Manager. Must have effective written and oral communication skills, be eager to learn, willing to perform a variety of tasks and be a team player. A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in civil, highway or a relevant engineering field. Three (3) years of this experience shall have been in a field supervision role and at least four (4) years of which shall have been in field inspection activities. A current State of Connecticut Professional Engineer's License or CCM Certification in addition to a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in a relevant field is required. Other certifications a plus including: NACE Coatings Inspection; ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor; NETTCP Asphalt, Soils and Concrete; and AWS/CWI.</p> <p>This employer participates in E-verify.
