<p>DESCRIPTION</p> <p>We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in Omaha, NE</p> <p>In this role will make an impact in the following ways:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop</p> </li><li> <p>Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies</p> </li><li> <p>Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain own tools</p> </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>To be successful in this role you will need the following:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics</p> </li><li> <p>Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.</p> </li><li> <p>Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.</p> </li><li> <p>Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.</p> </li><li> <p>Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Minimal level of work shop experience requiredBasic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire </li><li>Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older </li><li>A current valid license is required for this role </li><li>This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations </li><li>This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical </li><li>3 years driving experience </li><li>This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use </li><li>Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age </li><li>This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements.
