<p>Title: Educational Technology Coordinator</p> <p>Department/Location: Educational Technology School, St. Louis</p> <p>Position Type: Full-time, 12-month position.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Principia is looking for an Educational Technology Coordinator. In this role, you will work with teachers and students to strengthen their technical skills necessary for the 21st century. Reporting to the Director of School Educational Technology, you will play a critical role in supporting teachers with incorporating technology into their curriculum and keeping Principia School abreast of emerging technologies.</p> <p>Who We Are</p> <p>At our award-winning Early Childhood through grade 12 Principia School in St. Louis, Missouri, and top-ranked Principia College in Elsah, Illinois, Principia faculty and staff make up a close-knit community of educators, coaches, and professionals taking a distinct approach to education-blending academic excellence with Christian Science-based character education. We strive to create a collaborative and inclusive environment where everyone feels they belong and are valued.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Advise/assist/coach students and teachers in integrating current, relevant and supportable technologies into their classroom; help raise thought and awareness of the positive impact of technology </li><li>Work with and support teachers, students, and administrators in effectively using the School Portal (learning management system) to improve teaching and learning. </li><li>Develop, craft, and implement Digital Citizenship Curriculum. </li><li>Work with faculty to support their teaching of technology classes as it relates to robotics, coding, gaming, introduction to computers, video/media editing, etc. </li><li>Provide professional development training for teachers on the use of instructional software and hardware </li><li>Articulate technical needs and solutions, providing information to keep Principia abreast of emerging technologies </li><li>Perform the role of software administrator for select academic software (i.e. setting up user accounts) </li><li>Provide occasional technical setup and support during special events/activities, which may be in the evenings or on weekends (e.g. microphones and projector use) </li><li>Provide occasional technical support as needed in the School's Tech Help Center </li></ul> <p>Core Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Strategic thinkers: Ability to consider complex topics from multiple perspectives and offer innovative solutions. </li><li>Communication: Provides regular, consistent, and meaningful information.
