<p>DIVISION: Operations</p> <p>CLOSING DATE/TIME: Until Filled</p> <p>LOCATION: 4305 East 21st Ave., Tampa, FL 33605</p> <p>PAY RATE: $17.02/hr. per Union Contract</p> <p>POSITION PURPOSE:</p> <p>Repairs and maintains equipment, fixtures, shelters, park-n-rides and buildings owned by HART.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Install, repair, replace and paint benches, shelters, signs and other amenities. </li><li>Re-label signs and maintain information kiosks. </li><li>Bus stop maintenance to include trash removal, glass cleaning, pest control, grass cutting, test solar light systems and use blower to clean pad. </li><li>Maintains the safety and cleanliness of park-n-ride areas. </li><li>Travel HART routes inspecting signs, cleanliness and complete necessary repairs for all bus stops. </li><li>Uses various hand tools, power tools and measuring devices to make minor modifications, fabricate brackets, posts, or other items required to maintain the integrity of route amenities. </li><li>Performs all other work-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Performs other work-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate, preferred </li><li>Some general repair and maintenance experience. </li></ul> <p>Machines, Tools, & Equipment Used:</p> <ul> <li>Forklift, lot sweeper, portable steam washer, maintenance tools. </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to obtain Valid Florida Driver's License in 10 days. </li><li>Forklift certification, preferred but not needed </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. </li><li>Ability to work with minimal supervision. </li><li>Ability to interact positively with a variety of personalities. </li><li>Ability to learn safe operation of equipment i.e. forklift, lot sweeper and portable steam washer. </li><li>Ability to perform task requiring physical strength and endurance, where required. </li><li>Ability to work various shifts, hours and days. </li><li>Ability to meet attendance requirement. </li><li>Ability to be an effective team player. </li><li>Basic methods, materials, tools and equipment used in bench, sign, shelter, park-n-ride repair and installation. </li><li>Sign installation locations to alleviate interference with underground utilities and other obstacles. </li><li>Working knowledge of occupational hazards, precautions, and safety requirements of the associated job duties. </li><li>Care of materials i.e. decals, metal, glass and wood. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands/Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to extreme noise when interfacing in the shop. Decibel range of 85+ duration on an occasional level. </li><li>Exposure to mechanical hazards, fumes/odors and chemical hazards in the shop areas. </li><li>Subject to all weather conditions. </li><li>Constant periods of hearing, near and far acuity, depth perception, color vision and speaking. </li><li>Visual acuity necessary to perform all duties. </li><li>Frequent periods of walking and sitting. </li><li>Frequent periods of standing and squatting. </li><li>Occasional periods of lifting and carrying supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more. </li></ul>
