<p>Job Purpose:</p> <ul> <li>Proactively grow the specialty pharmacy patient population by making outbound phone calls to eligible patients and enrolling them with Shields Partner Pharmacy </li><li>Educate patients on the services offered by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program </li><li>Protect Shields values by keeping information confidential </li></ul> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Communicate with patient over the phone and provide them the compelling reason why the Shields Partner Pharmacy program is superior to any other comprehensive pharmacy care model. </li><li>Access patient's EMR and review chart notes prior to outbound call to ensure familiarity with patient's condition and situation. </li><li>Identify medications requiring special storage and/or handling such as hazardous medications and/or refrigerated medication. </li><li>Identify supplies necessary for select medications such as sharps containers, needles/syringes, alcohol swabs and band-aids. </li><li>Ability to be flexible on shift times: (typical shift times: M-F: 8:30AM to 4:30PM or 12:00PM to 8:00PM // flexibility with occasional Sat: 11:00AM-4:00PM). </li><li>Opportunity to become nationally certified PTCB or ExCPT within 6 months of hire via Shields classes (included as part of employee training). </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to verbally communicate a compelling reason why patients should use shields pharmacy. </li><li>Strong verbal communication and phone skills. </li><li>Enjoys talking with patients and can empathize with their situation. </li><li>Proactively engaging patients telephonically. </li><li>Ability to quickly build rapport and relate with patients over the phone. </li><li>Self-motivation and ability to work effectively in an independent environment with a focus on patient advocacy. </li><li>Excellent communication, organizational and prioritization skills </li><li>Attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to learn new processes and implement them quickly. </li><li>Results-oriented with a positive outlook. </li><li>A clear focus on high quality. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. </li><li>Prior customer service experience / outbound call experience. </li></ul> <p>Experience/ Education:</p> <p>Required Licensure/Certification: We are seeking experienced pharmacy technicians. Nationally certified from PTCB or equivalent is strongly preferred but not required. Should licensure need to be obtained, the applicant will commit to obtaining the required licensure within a mutually agreed upon timeframe. Continued employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements.</p> <p>Years of Experience: 0-1 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician or related experience</p> <p>Education: High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree or PTCB/ExCPT License is strongly preferred</p>
