<p>ABOUT THE ROLE</p> <p>We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Employment Recruiter to help individuals with disabilities achieve meaningful employment in the community. In this role, you will build relationships with local employers, support job seekers throughout the employment process, and provide ongoing guidance to ensure long-term job success. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys community outreach, supporting others in reaching their goals, and creating inclusive employment opportunities.</p> <p>JOB TITLE: Employment Recruiter</p> <p>JOB CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Career Development Program Coordinator</p> <p>JOB PURPOSE: To assist consumers in obtaining competitive employment within the community workforce.</p> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop relationships with local businesses to promote inclusive employment opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate a minimum of five quality job placements per quarter.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and develop new community assessment sites or volunteer training sites.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct employer informational interviews and coordinate workplace tours.</p> </li><li> <p>Educate employers on workplace accommodations, compensation, and strategies to support successful employment.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist individuals with job readiness through Job Club and job search preparation activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Support job seekers with:</p> </li><li> <p>Completing job applications (including online applications)</p> </li><li> <p>Preparing for interviews</p> </li><li> <p>Attending job fairs</p> </li><li> <p>Transportation to interviews or employment sites as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Provide on-the-job training and support during job trials when necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Teach appropriate workplace behaviors and social skills using behavior management strategies when needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs).</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor employment progress to help ensure long-term job retention.</p> </li><li> <p>Connect individuals and families with community resources when appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain communication with Vocational Rehabilitation counselors, families, and partner agencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend staff meetings, trainings, and weekly job development meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency, funder, and CARF guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow all agency policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED. Undergraduate degree in Human Services or related field preferred.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Marketing or Job Development experience is ideal. Prefer work experience with head injury/social services and/or a strong sales background.</p> <p>SKILLS:</p> <p>Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong organization skills, and the ability to be very flexible. Good writing and strong computer skills necessary. CPR & First Aid training.</p> <p>WORK HOURS:</p> <p>Variable - days and some evenings and occasional weekends. Must have a reliable vehicle and auto insurance.</p>
