The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that align with the school's curriculum and standards, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting the academic and social development of students.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in ELA </li><li>Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that meet the diverse needs of students </li><li>Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities </li><li>Use a variety of teaching strategies and instructional resources to address different learning styles and abilities </li><li>Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use data to adjust teaching strategies </li><li>Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and effective learning </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community to support student learning and development </li><li>Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and developments </li><li>Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development. </li><li>Implement school policies and procedures and maintain high standards of classroom management. </li></ul> <p>Certification</p> <ul> <li>New Jersey State Certification as a Middle School English Language Arts Teacher #1106 </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred. </li></ul> <p>GCEA Salary Guide</p>
