<p>JOB DESCRIPTION: Assistant Football Coach -Defensive Line Coach</p> <p>DATE: 3/13/2025</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Division of Athletics</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Head Football Coach</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Nichols College, a member of the NCAA Division III, located in Dudley, MA (Central MA) invites applications for a part-time assistant football coach.</p> <p>Seasonal coaching position through June 2025, with the possibility of continuation into the 2025-2026 year based on performance and program needs.</p> <p>The coach will be responsible for working with the defensive line. They will be responsible to carry out the duties assigned by the Head Coach and/or the DC. Preferably the candidate has playing and/or coaching experience for the position. The coach will also be responsible for a recruiting area to be determined. This position accepts responsibility of leadership, vision, and supervision of the football program. Nichols is committed to building a diverse and inclusive coaching staff.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Assistant Coach</p> <ul> <li>Support the head coach's vision. </li><li>Identify and attract outstanding student-athletes to Nichols College. </li><li>Assist the head coach in teaching skills related to football. </li><li>Engage with student-athletes and maintain strong relationships. </li><li>Monitor the academic progress of your players. </li><li>Recruiting area will be assigned. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred with experience in collegiate athletics and coaching. </li><li>Genuine understanding and commitment to NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletics philosophy </li><li>Solid knowledge and technical skills for football. </li><li>Must have strong leadership and people skills plus an ability to work with all constituencies of the campus. </li><li>CPR/ AED and First Aid certification </li><li>Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, able to handle a multi-task work environment. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Must be computer proficient, use PowerPoint and Vizio programs. </li><li>Valid driver's license </li><li>Must be able to use HUDL video system. </li></ul> <p>Being CSCS & SCCC Certified is preferred but not required</p>
