When joining KeHE, you'll become part of a team that is a force for good.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <p>The Manager, Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Facilities leads the processes and protocols related to warehouse safety, food safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance. The Manager develops, administers, and ensures successful execution of health & safety and food safety programs. The role includes oversight of facilities, including vendor management and managing maintenance and sanitation operations. As with all positions at KeHE Distributors, we expect that all actions will be consistent with KeHE's Mission, Vision, and Values.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Serves as a subject matter expert for health & safety and related regulatory compliance for all levels of employees. </li><li>Serves as a subject matter expert for food safety and related regulatory compliance for all levels of employees. </li><li>Manages all aspects of KeHE facilities, including site safety and control, sanitation, vendor management, and equipment. </li><li>Develops, implements, and iterates health and safety and food safety programs in collaboration with stakeholders. </li><li>Ensures site safety and security. </li><li>Validates adherence to standards through routine inspections and audits. </li><li>Leads incident investigations with operations management team to identify root causes and implement prevention strategies. </li><li>Achieves measurable, sustainable improvements in health and safety and food safety metrics, including but not limited to recordable incident rates, safety observations, and Safe Quality Food audits. </li><li>Manages injured workers and workers' compensation programs. </li><li>Facilitates safety activities, including safety committee meetings, safety communications, training, and drills. </li><li>Communicates safety expectations and performance to all levels of employees. </li><li>Oversees random drug and alcohol testing in partnership with vendor. </li><li>Plans, budgets, and schedules facility maintenance and modifications, including cost estimates and invoicing. </li><li>Implements new processes to increase efficiency. </li><li>Manages Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) programs, including repairs and preventative maintenance. </li><li>Oversees technology support for systems and IT equipment. </li><li>Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required. </li><li>Monitors and improves quality control performance through Key Performance Drivers (KPDs). </li><li>Leads third-party and customer audits as the Safe Quality Food (SQF) practitioner. </li><li>Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to food safety and quality. </li><li>Ensures all Critical Control Points (CCPs) are maintained, documented, and effective. </li><li>Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse environment. </li><li>Ensures all health and safety, food safety, and facilities documentation is maintained timely and accurately. </li><li>Manages preventative maintenance of all facility equipment, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, OPEX system, and glycol systems. </li><li>Other duties and projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum seven years' experience in a health and safety leadership role required. </li><li>Minimum three years' experience in a warehouse environment or similar required. </li><li>Experience working with regulatory agencies required. </li><li>Experience leading diverse teams required. </li><li>Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification highly preferred. </li><li>Experience managing workers' compensation and injured worker programs preferred. </li><li>Experience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) highly preferred. </li><li>Experience managing facilities preferred. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Expertise in health and safety, Safe Quality Food safety standards, and regulatory compliance in the food distribution industry. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with teams, customers, and senior leadership. </li><li>Ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. </li><li>Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and their state/local equivalents. </li><li>Knowledge of Colorado workers' compensation laws. </li><li>Working knowledge of facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of Powered Industrial Truck (PIT)programs. </li><li>High attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to make accurate data-driven decisions to impact results. </li><li>Expert in Root Cause Analysis (RCA). </li><li>Strong project management skills. </li><li>Customer and vendor management skills. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the
