<p>Overview:</p> <p>Within a Wealth middle office environment, serves as subject matter expert for key administrative activities completed within the team or business line. Applies practical experience and industry expertise to execute a specific Wealth administrative function, while focusing on compliance and risk mitigation.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze and interpret Wealth documents and apply fiduciary, legal and statutory knowledge and experience to execute certain administrative functions. </li><li>Communicate with internal and external business partners and related service partners as required. Serve as primary subject matter expert for a key administrative process, providing guidance to less experienced personnel on the process. </li><li>Escalate or resolve non-standard or high risk exceptions as appropriate; serve as escalation point for activities falling within subject matter expertise to support their timely resolution. </li><li>Work independently to complete processing of complex Wealth administrative requirements in a timely, accurate and compliant manner. </li><li>Contribute ideas for process improvements to improve efficiency of activities. </li><li>Identify, report and escalate all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities to ensure management awareness of them. </li><li>Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. </li><li>Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. </li><li>Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. </li><li>Complete other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Scope of Responsibilities:</p> <p>This position serves in a middle office environment as part of the Administrative Services Unit. The job holder works with autonomy and has less daily oversight.</p> <p>Education and Experience Required:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years' financial services work experience,</p> <p>OR in lieu of a degree,</p> <p>A combined minimum of 7 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years' financial services work experience</p> <p>Demonstrated success operating in a team environment</p> <p>Experience using pertinent word processing and spreadsheet software</p> <p>Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed</p> <p>Effective communication skills</p> <p>Self-motivated</p> <p>Well-organized</p> <p>Education and Experience Preferred:</p> <p>Advanced degree (JD Juris Doctor)</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Statistics</p> <p>Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and/or Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation</p> <p>Minimum of 5 years' financial services industry experience</p> <p>Understanding of Wealth Management and/or Capital Markets businesses</p> <p>Knowledge of the Bank's systems and culture</p> <p>Ability to work under time constraints</p> <p>Attention to detail</p> <p>Good organizational skills</p> <p>Good communication skills</p> <p>M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $79,184.45 - $131,974.08 Annual (USD).
