<p>Kforce's client, a leading Connecticut based CPA firm is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper for permanent part time role (remote option available).</p> <p>Summary: The Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible for bookkeeping/accounting activities for small to mid-size business clients. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Supervisor in all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting activities for clients including preparation of various tax forms and monthly reports, assistance with balance sheets, statements of net worth, income statements, budgets, cash flow statements and creation of estate plan summaries.</p> <p>Duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Work independently in entering transactions from bank and credit card accounts </li><li>Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual information/non-tax returns </li><li>Assist in preparing entity and personal financial statements and customized reports, cash flow reporting and budgeting </li><li>Track, monitor, reconcile payable/receivables </li><li>Use QuickBooks Online, or other cloud-based accounting software, to capture financial data, prepare and print reports </li><li>Create monthly reports and summaries on performance of investments </li><li>Assist with reconciliation of all bank accounts monthly </li><li>Record and track payroll activity </li><li>Perform and/or oversee client administrative services such as banking, cash management and bill payment, and document management </li><li>Create/prepare/maintain accurate digital accounting records, general ledgers, bank, and investment reconciliations, workpapers and other supporting records </li><li>Process sales and use tax as needed </li><li>Coordinate tax processing with tax department </li><li>Occasional same day travel for work at the client's offices, meetings, and seminars using a personal vehicle </li><li>Prepare routine correspondence to client for approval and signature of a partner </li><li>Participate in planning and scheduling client engagements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation </li><li>5+ years of accounting and tax experience </li><li>Experience using QuickBooks Online or other cloud-based accounting software </li><li>Proficiency in use of computers, including use of Microsoft Excel </li><li>Understanding of and sensitivity to confidential information </li><li>Tech-savvy; Must have experience working with Microsoft Suite, QuickBooks Desktop and Online and a quick learner of new platforms </li><li>Ability to meet time constraints and client deadlines </li><li>Occasional overtime work required throughout the year </li><li>Experience within a family office or similar setting preferred </li></ul>
