<p>Residential Support Staff, Mary Eliza Mahoney (Part Time)</p> <p>Job Summary: To work as a part of a multi-discipline to support all families to achieve their goal of permanent housing. Provide on-site coverage to ensure smooth shelter operations and security of program participants, staff and facilities.</p> <p>We have the following shifts available:</p> <p>Friday and Saturday 11pm to 7am</p> <p>Saturday and Sunday 3pm to 11pm</p> <p>Job Responsibilities/Performance Expectations</p> <ul> <li>To perform duties that ensure the health, safety, and well-being of residents such as light housekeeping including but not limited to sweeping, dusting, replenishing of supplies, cleaning of bathrooms, kitchen and common living areas. </li><li>To develop and maintain a warm, friendly, cooperative atmosphere in the residence. </li><li>To safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of residents and staff and to treat individuals with dignity and respect at all times. </li><li>To maintain appropriate records and files as directed by the Program Coordinator. </li><li>Coordinate and follow up on guest facility chores and schedules. </li><li>Conduct daily room inspections. </li><li>Ensure safety procedures are followed. </li><li>Communicate and work well with other staff and resident. </li><li>Assist residents in negotiating common space. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all shelter rules. </li><li>To provide emergency coverage when necessary. </li><li>To attend regularly scheduled staff meetings. </li><li>To perform other related tasks as assigned by the Program Director. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications and Skills (include all technical requirements as well as required experience, training, age and/or population specific competencies):</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work effectively and professionally with low-income families. </li><li>Read, write and speak English, bi-cultural/bi-lingual a plus. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to assess and act appropriately in emergency situations. </li><li>Ability to encourage conflict resolution through mediation and negotiation. </li><li>Ability to work both independently and as a team member. </li><li>Demonstrates a customer focus. </li><li>Demonstrates team spirit in carrying out responsibilities. </li><li>Demonstrates a work ethic that supports agency policies, procedures and goals. </li></ul> <p>Required Certification (include all required licensure, accreditation, board certification, and credentialing)</p> <p>Must obtain First Aid/CPR within first three months of employment. Must successfully pass a CORI check.</p> <p>Minimum Educational Requirements (indicate specific area of study where necessary):</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or Equivalency and one year experience working with families in a residential environment; or BA/BS in human service related field. </li><li>Other (please indicate type and amount of training and experience that may suffice in lieu of formal educational background): </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements (include physical requirements necessary to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position such as ability to stand, bend, lift, eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity and sensory perceptions):</p> <p>Must be able to perform above duties that may require bending, lifting, sweeping, and stretching.</p> <p>Working Conditions (include work space environment, departmental dress code and other essential aspects of the work environment):</p> <p>Shelter space meets ADA requirements. Must maintain professional attire at all times.</p> <p>Salary Range: $13,983 to $15,108 per year</p>
