<p>The Middletown Beyond the Bell Summer Enrichment Camp is designed to keep children learning and having fun during the summer with daily recreational activities, arts and crafts, and games, and weekly special events for students who will be entering grades 1-5 in the fall 2025. The Summer Enrichment Camp will be theme based, keeping the summer fresh and exciting. The program offers recreational and thinking activities, designed to strengthen participants minds and bodies and keep students active and learning in the summer. Students have the opportunity to explore a variety of planned activities and special events each week. The Middletown Beyond the Bell Summer Enrichment Camp is coordinated with the Middletown Public Schools summer academic intervention program to allow students to access both services as needed.</p> <p>MCOZ Camp Assistant Coordinator:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the MCOZ Manager with managing the day to day operations of the MCOZ Camp. </li><li>Support Camp Lead Teachers and Teacher Assistants </li><li>Assist/coordinate arrival and/or dismissal, supporting lunch and recess, providing behavior support, parent contacts, daily logistics, and other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Applicants should have a degree in education or a related field and/or at least 3 years experience in youth development with school age students, preferably elementary. </li><li>College students working toward a degree in elementary education and who have experience facilitating activities with elementary age children may be considered for the Assistant Camp Coordinator position. </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Pre-Program: Approximately 2 hours of pre-program training/program orientation to be held prior to program start. Assistant Coordinator may also be asked to support program set up a few days prior to the start of camp. </li><li>Program Weeks: 10:30-4:15 Mon-Thurs and 8:00-4:15 Friday. Total of 30.75 hours per week. </li></ul>
