Whether traditional Tax and Audit, Client Accounting Advisory Services, Business Valuation, Accounting/Bookkeeping, Forensic Accounting or Financial Planning Services, our approach is to master an in-depth knowledge of our clients with innovative analysis and recommendations to build and maintain net growth.</p> <p>Internship Summary:</p> <p>Bowers Advisors & Associates is looking for highly motivated, collaborative, and results oriented Interns who thrive in a fast-paced environment to join our Ithaca team for Summer 2026!</p> <p>Key Objectives:</p> <ul> <li>Approach daily responsibilities with the Bowers mission and client-centric philosophy in mind. </li><li>Develop the ability to identify, understand, and address accounting issues. </li><li>Strengthen written and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues </li><li>Participate in firm outings and activities as able </li><li>Be a part of our Audit or Tax team and learn the business of Audit or Tax </li><li>Plan and prepare Audit services or Tax services as shared by our Audit or Tax Staff </li><li>Collaborate with our Audit Staff Accountants and Tax Accountants for further support and learning </li><li>Become familiar with and effectively utilize accounting software in assigned areas </li><li>Communicate with our team on project status updates when needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Active enrollment and a major in Accounting or Finance (Junior standing or above is preferred) </li><li>Interest in pursuing a career in public accounting </li><li>Preferably pursuing the 150-credit-hour academic requirement towards CPA eligibility </li><li>Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills </li><li>Ability to follow through and meet deadlines </li><li>Willingness to learn </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite </li></ul> <p>Internship Location: This is an on-site internship opportunity- includes Tax Training Days.</p> <ul> <li>Ithaca, NY </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>We can offer flexibility with a student's summer schedule. </li></ul> <p>Pay: $20.00-$28.00/hour</p>
