<p>The Manager, Total Loss and Client Services coaches and develops a team of 6-10 claim representatives. The teams are responsible for the management, investigation and resolution of Total Loss, Gap Recovery or Subrogation assignments, ensuring a high-quality work product. This manager promotes a culture of customer service excellence where all individuals are committed to provide an exceptional customer experience while continuously developing talent by assisting with the selection of top talent.</p> <p>Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Supervisory and People Management (40%):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Responsible for the training, development and mentoring of Claim Team Leaders, Claim Supervisors, Claim Adjusters, Specialists or Processors dependent upon the business unit.</p> </li><li> <p>Direct the selection, development, deployment, and evaluation of assigned Claim team.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify, develop, and retain high potential/high performing employees who have the potential for or are ready to fill critical roles in the organization.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage staff performance; implement strategies and plans to address staff development; identify and address training needs on an ongoing basis; provide frequent performance feedback.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement strategies and plans to address Claim Professional and Unit Team Leader and Supervisor development. Make certain training needs are identified and addressed on an ongoing basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide enhanced technical leadership focus to strengthen the product/technical development of the staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the administrative duties within their line of business or unit including data reports, performance metrics, performance evaluation, updated job descriptions, salary administration, employee discipline issues and other administrative and reporting functions as required</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures and enables staff to maintain a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; serves the customer with empathy; and follows up to ensure that customer needs have been met</p> </li></ul> <p>Customer Service (20%):</p> <ul> <li>Focus on resolution and process improvement, fulfilling all obligations while maximizing cost effectiveness, helping the business understand drivers, trends and product stress points and helping our clients attract and retain business. </li><li>Reviews complex claim files and make recommendations for further claim handling </li><li>Participate in client implementation and client meetings as needed </li></ul> <p>Administration and Operational Management (40%):</p> <ul> <li>Ensures the accurate, thorough, and timely adjudication of claims related to a line of business or unit. </li><li>Responsible for the overall process related to claim adjudication including tools and resources needed to ensure the accurate and thorough process of claim adjudication for their respective line of business. </li><li>Ensures the accuracy of underwriting and claim audits to a standard of 90% </li><li>Focus on resolution and process improvement, fulfilling all obligations while maximizing cost effectiveness, helping the business understand drivers, trends, and product stress points </li><li>Reviews complex claim files and make recommendations for further claim handling </li><li>Responsible for ensuring their unit and/or line of business meet licensing and regulatory requirements of the state </li><li>Must be able to rely on experience to accomplish departmental, divisional, and corporate goals. </li><li>Ability to implement policies and procedures under the direction of higher-level management. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma required </li><li>Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred </li><li>5-7 years of directly related work experience required </li><li>3-4 years of people leader experience required </li></ul> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
