<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Title of Position: Nursing Clinical Instructor (Adjunct Faculty)</p> <ul> <li>Function of Position: </li></ul> <p>A part-time clinical instructor teaches the clinical component of a nursing course. A 10-hour position requires 150 contact hours each semester:</p> <p>Teaching Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Facilitate student learning within the nursing department's mission, philosophy and conceptual framework</p> </li><li> <p>Implement student-centered learning activities to achieve learning outcomes in clinical</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate student learning as evidenced by:</p> </li><li> <p>Nursing care plans</p> </li><li> <p>Clinical paperwork</p> </li><li> <p>Clinical summative rotation evaluation conferences</p> </li><li> <p>BSN faculty will have an MSN faculty oversee evaluation of student work</p> </li><li> <p>Select patient assignments for clinical experiences</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate pre and post conferences</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate student progress to Course Coordinator</p> </li><li> <p>Use Brightspace web-enhanced learning management system</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain three office hours weekly for 10-hour position; four office hours weekly for 12-hour position</p> </li></ul> <p>Departmental Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Attend appropriate level meetings (3 each semester) </li><li>Attend nursing departmental meetings (1 each semester) </li><li>Serve on nursing ad hoc meetings as desired </li><li>Attend annual Professional Advancement Pinning Ceremony (May) </li></ul> <p>Professional Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain current clinical competency at clinical agency </li><li>Maintain current CPR and health requirements </li><li>Pursue continuing education in area of expertise </li><li>Use evidence-based teaching practices </li><li>Facilitate learning within the framework of the National League for Nursing Core Competencies of Nurse Educators </li><li>Submit Nursing Adjunct Performance Appraisal May 15 one year after hired and bi-annually thereafter </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Current New York State RN license</p> </li><li> <p>BSN required, MSN or active progress towards an MSN degree</p> </li><li> <p>Regionally accredited higher education institution</p> </li><li> <p>Two years related clinical experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>DUAL CAMPUS</p> <p>Posted salary is based upon the 2025-2026 instructor rate pro-rated for 10 contact hours.</p> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>To be considered for this position, please submit resume, cover letter, transcripts and evidence of nursing licensure at the time of application.</p> <p>A professional reference check will be required prior to a formal offer of employment. Salary will commensurate with credentials and relevant experience unless an exact amount is listed.</p> <p>Offers are contingent upon the completion of a background check.</p> <p>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
